MORE THAN JUST HOTDOGS.

NEW WAY LUNCH IS

FAMILY

New Way Lunch was founded in August 1919 by John Floro, a Greek immigrant who arrived in the United
States in 1916.

FROM DREAM TO REALITY

After years of working in hospitality and chasing side projects, the brothers revived their dream in 2013. They found a small brick building in Historic North Knoxville, signed the lease, and opened the very first K Brew café on October 19, 2013. With just 450 square feet and 10 seats, it was packed from day one -fueled by passion, hard work, and quality coffee.

EXPANSION AND GROWTH

1998: A second New Way Lunch location opened in Queensbury, New York, expanding the brand beyond Glens Falls.
2006: The original Glens Falls restaurant moved from 54 South Street to 21 South Street. This relocation provided improved parking and space for future growth while remaining true to its roots.
2011: A third location opened in Warrensburg, New York, with the involvement of Peter’s children,Nicholas and Alexandria Gazetos.

A FAMILY BUSINESS

John and Mary Floro raised five daughters—Constance, Margaret, Diamond, Angela, and Themetria
(known as Toly). Like many family‐run businesses of the era, everyone helped. The daughters worked in the restaurant, learning the business from a young age and contributing to its daily operations.
